Position Overview
Design and implement IIoT/Industry 4.0 solutions connecting PMTC manufacturing equipment to enterprise software systems. Bridge IT and production teams to enable smart factory capabilities through technical planning, solution design, and hands-on equipment integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop IT solutions for IIoT equipment connectivity, machine data acquisition, and Industry 4.0 applications
- Design technical specifications, user workflows, and interfaces for manufacturing IT systems
- Interface directly with PMTC production equipment for IT services, machine support, and integration
- Provide desktop/manufacturing floor IT support (hardware/software) for production staff
- Perform systems analysis, testing, debugging, and implementation of infrastructure applications
- Manage IT vendors for solution development and deployment
- Leverage AI/ML applications for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and process optimization
- Analyze/install/modify operating systems, databases, and utilities software
Required Skills & Experience
- IIoT/Industry 4.0 implementation (equipment connectivity, OPC UA, MQTT, edge computing)
- Manufacturing IT systems integration (PLC/SCADA/MES connectivity)
- AI/ML applications in industrial contexts (predictive maintenance, quality control)
- Computing:
Servers, virtualization, cloud IaaS/PaaS, patch management, hardware troubleshooting - Networking:
Software-defined networking, network security, industrial protocols - Security:
Firewalls, encryption, access controls for manufacturing IT environments - Programming:
Software design, testing, debugging across full product lifecycle - 4-5+ years relevant experience;
Bachelor's/University degree required
Preferred
- PMTC manufacturing equipment experience
- Hands-on machine integration and production floor IT support
- Vendor management for industrial IT projects
