About the Role

This role involves managing complex transactions and providing strategic advice to clients in the real estate sector.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, negotiate, and review legal documents for commercial real estate transactions, such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing contracts, and joint venture agreements.
  • Oversee due diligence processes, including reviewing title, surveys, and zoning compliance, to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Coordinate and lead transaction closings, ensuring smooth execution by collaborating with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
  • Advise clients on strategies for real estate development, acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing activities.
  • Structure deals effectively and manage complex negotiations to achieve client objectives.
  • Provide guidance on compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to real estate projects.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and clients to deliver tailored solutions for sophisticated real estate matters.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and local market dynamics to offer strategic advice.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, ensuring high-quality results.
Qualifications
  • Active membership in the California State Bar is required.
  • 4+ years of experience in transactional real estate, preferably within a law firm environment.
  • Strong expertise in commercial real estate law, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with commercial real estate transactions.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics.
