Manufacturing Technicians​/Night Shift

VIAVI Solutions has multiple full-time Manufacturing Technician positions available in Santa Rosa. Both Day and Night Shifts are available, with Night Shifts offering a qualified shift differential. Hourly pay ranges from $23 to $27 per hour, depending on experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary Job Responsibilities
:

• Perform manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration, rework, and quality testing of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data for on-line adjustments. Conduct experiments with engineers. Some operations are in a clean room environment.
• Develop and determine test specifications, methods, and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
• Test and troubleshoot assemblies and final systems.
• Perform rework on assemblies and systems as needed based on testing results.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
• Assist in selecting and setting up specialized test equipment.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Qualifications
:

• GED/High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Must have access to technology, materials, software, or hardware controlled by U.S. export laws. Eligibility requires US citizenship or permanent residency.
• Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance to work in environments that require it.
• Shift flexibility is required; shifts are typically 12 hours, available during day and night. This is a 24-hour facility.

Preferred experience in
:

• High vacuum coating, Box/UCP.
• Operating a spectrophotometer.
• Assembly experience with microscope soldering (Micro Nir/metrology).
• ISO quality environment experience.
