• Build new equipment and repair downed equipment.
• Machine parts to prepare for welding; fabricate sheet metal.
• Perform welding and brazing, including TIG & MIG steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Make tooling and fixtures; drill and tap various metals.
• Fabricate and modify one‑off parts for internal use.
• Assist engineers with equipment modifications for research and development.

• Minimum 5 years of general metal fabrication experience.
• Skilled in TIG & MIG welding for steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, brake, shear, and sheet metal fabrication tools.
• Ability to solder with oxy‑acetylene torch and use shop equipment including manual mills and lathes.
• Proficient in assembling intricate machinery from schematics and drawings.
• Strong ability to work independently, follow instructions, and maintain attention to detail.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Read engineering drawings and weld symbols; familiarity with any CAD software and CNC a plus.
• Safety conscious and able to work safely in the shop and on the factory floor with complex machines.
• Efficient, clean, organized and quality conscious with ability to inspect own work.
• Strong problem‑solving skills; able to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

• Experience with assisting engineers in identifying and implementing improvements to production machines.
