Metrology Technician
Metrology Technician Pay Rate: $21- $25/hr DOE Benefits as a Tekberry Temp:
Paid Bi-weekly, Healthcare (employer contribution), Dental & Vision Job Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule:
Day shift – Monday - Friday 6a-2:30p (flexible with start time between 5:30a & 8a)

Tekberry is looking for highly qualified and motivated Manufacturing Technicians to work on-site with our client, a top-tier technology company in Santa Rosa, CA. The manufacturing technician supports all aspects of the thin film manufacturing process. This includes, but is not limited to, coating, metrology, fabrication, parts cleaning & assembly, incoming and final inspection, data interpretation, and data entry. All duties require a commitment to safety, quality, accuracy, and execution with excellence through continuous improvement, performance, integrity, and respect for people and the Company’s mission.

- Follow instructions and procedures precisely while offering suggestions for continuous improvement
- Handle fragile products & parts ranging in size from 1 millimeter to 450 millimeters and weigh less than 1 gram to 25 kilograms
- Maintains housekeeping, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements
- Perform product and machine inspection
- Analyzes data, and reports abnormalities to the appropriate person/department
- Assemble fixtures, parts, and tooling, calibrate tools/machines
- Clean product, parts, tooling, machines, work area
- Adhere to Company quality policy, environmental policy, sustainability policy, and safety programs
- Use Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, e-mail, O365, etc.,) and other manufacturing programs
- U.S. Person per EAR Part 772 AND ITAR 120.15
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing) and data analysis
- Computer proficiency- MS Office such as excel
- Can multitask and work with a high degree of accuracy, high attention to detail
- Experience in spectrophotometers is a plus
- Mechanical/scientific aptitude or interests
- Self-starter/works well alone and with limited supervision
- Team oriented and driven to meet goals and improve processes
- Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting, and executing detailed instructions, short correspondence (e.g., e-mails, texts, instant messaging)
- Skilled in writing simple, informational, and technical correspondence
- Familiar with lean manufacturing methods/tools (5-s, root cause analysis, continuous improvement cycle)
- Some college, Associates Degree in any of the sciences; mechanical, electrical, physics, engineering technology preferred
- Comfortable around machinery & computers
- Experienced and certified forklift driver
- Material handling, equipment, and test protocol
- Wafer fabrication, including thin films, photolithography, electroplating, etch, lapping, and probe.
- Various lab equipment and testing equipment
- Electronic and computer technology
- GMP and SOP
- Proficiency in mathematics and scientific principles/units
- Quality systems and statistical knowledge
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Solid Works
- Work within a manufacturing environment
- Will sit 20%-90% of time / stand 10%-80% of time depending on job assignment
- Be able to use hands to handle delicate product and very small objects in addition to tools, equipment, or controls
- Be able to reach overhead and work on a ladder/elevated heights
- Be able to work in various positions, including but not limited to, reaching, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time
- Be able to work extended hours (overtime) when required
- Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
