Plant Operations Manager – Plastic Injection Molding

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee plant activities while ensuring strict adherence to 5S methodology, safety protocols, and ISO compliance.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to launch new programs, ensuring that tooling and manufacturing setups are cost-efficient and support overall profitability.
• Enhance operational performance and throughput by proactively identifying ways to reduce costs and maximize product margins.
• Optimize resource allocation by managing equipment, supplier relationships, and labor, while ensuring machine uptime and labor-to-sales ratios remain balanced.
• Coordinate production schedules, quality control, ERP system usage, and BOM management to help the team achieve consistent on-time delivery.
• Cultivate a high-performance culture by mentoring and motivating staff, which helps drive accountability and active employee engagement in improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Engineering degree paired with at least a decade of practical experience in plastic injection molding and deep technical process knowledge.
• Five to seven years of leadership experience, showing a proven track record of guiding teams to surpass operational targets.
• Background in GMP and quality management systems, helping to foster a collaborative and quality-focused workplace.
• Proven ability to apply Lean and continuous improvement strategies to boost overall manufacturing output.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, complemented by excellent communication skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $135,000.
