Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (3 nights per week). 4x12 available upon request. Orientation: 36 hours.

- Monitor maternal and fetal status vigilantly using fetal monitoring and intervene appropriately
- Provide skilled care for laboring and postpartum patients, including high-risk antepartum cases
- Perform and document sterile vaginal exams and assist/ circulate during C-sections
- Place, calibrate and interpret IUPC (intrauterine pressure catheter) readings
- Administer and titrate medications safely (including insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives, anticoagulation therapy)
- Start and manage IV therapy, perform phlebotomy, and maintain central lines (CVC/PICC)
- Chart accurately and promptly in Epic to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-focused care
- Float between like units as needed while maintaining high standards of patient safety
- Precept and support newer staff when called upon, sharing best practices and clinical judgement
- Active RN license (pending licenses are not accepted) — travel experience required
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery and postpartum experience (seasoned travelers preferred)
- Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced
- Comfort and proficiency with Epic charting
- Experience with patient ratios of up to 1:3 on days and nights
- Ability to circulate for C-section and perform sterile vaginal exams
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently on nights
- Fetal monitoring interpretation and triage of obstetrical patients
- IUPC placement and calibration
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line maintenance (CVC/PICC)
- Medication administration and titration (insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives, anticoagulation)
- Labor & delivery management and LDRP workflows
- Epic electronic charting and documentation best practices
- Isolation precautions and PPE use
- Precepting and mentoring newer clinicians (strong precepting skills a plus)
- Ability to float between similar units smoothly and professionally
