Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery RN – Northern California

Start Date: April 6, 2026
Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: 12-hour shifts available; 4x12 scheduling available upon request

• Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse position in a 277-bed acute care hospital
• LDRP model with 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratios across all shifts
• Facility averages 200-300 births per month with 10-bed unit and daily census of 12
• Epic charting system; 36-hour structured orientation provided
• Opportunity to work with neonates and adult patients in a dynamic obstetrical setting
• Flexible scheduling options available with advance time-off requests

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required (hard-stop requirement)
• Post-partum experience required in addition to labor and delivery background
• Active California RN license in hand at time of submission
• Required
  
  Certifications:
  
  ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
• Preferred Certification: AWHONN Advanced
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with high-risk antepartum, LDRP, triage of obstetrical patients, IUPC placement and calibration, central line maintenance, and circulating for C-sections
• Competency in anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy
• Experience with 1:3 patient ratios preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience level
• Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Willingness to float between like units or affiliate hospitals as needed
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty
