Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum RN – Northern California

Start Date: April 6, 2026
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts available; 4x12 upon request; 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio; float to similar units as needed

Highlights:

• LDRP unit with 10 beds and daily census of 12; 200-300 births per month
• 36-hour orientation provided;
  Epic charting system
• High-acuity skill mix including triage, high-risk antepartum, circulating for C-sections, magnesium sulfate therapy, and insulin drips
• Acute care hospital with 277 staffed beds in a collaborative care environment
• Guaranteed hours with facility call-off limited to once per two-week pay period
• 13-week assignment with holiday coverage requirement (2 of 3 major holidays)

Requirements:

• Active California RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery and Postpartum experience required
• Travel nursing experience required; previous experience in comparable acute care setting
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
• Epic charting experience required
• Competency in IUPC placement and calibration, sterile vaginal exams, central line maintenance, anticoagulation therapy, and isolation precautions
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of comparable specialty experience within the last 3 years
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
