Description:

The Emergency Department (ED) has 34 beds and accommodates patients of all ages and diagnoses. It is a Level 3 semi/stroke receiving center with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1. Responsibilities include the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care. This encompasses direct patient care, patient and family education, and managing transitions of care in an acute setting. The nurse will be accountable for providing comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs.

Skills required include management of respiratory conditions, administering emergency medications, and monitoring patients with multi-system organ dysfunction. Effective communication and coordination with interdisciplinary teams are essential. The ED serves a diverse patient population with a variety of medical conditions. The position requires participation in a weekend rotation schedule. The ability to handle high-stress situations and provide care under pressure is critical.

Teamwork and collaboration are vital for delivering high-quality patient care.
