Description:
Candidates must have experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic procedures due to trauma status.
Applicants may be required to cover one night shift within their contract as needed.
Familiarity with Epic charting system is required.
Candidates should be prepared to float between like units if necessary.
On-call duties will be distributed evenly among all nursing staff every six weeks.
This could involve six to eight shifts in a six-week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends.
Weekend shifts may also be part of the contract based on unit needs.
Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities.
Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
RTO must be provided during the submission process.
Travelers must be willing to work two out of three major holidays.
Candidates must provide references that cover one year within the last three years.
Special equipment and procedures relevant to the role may be required.
The work environment includes a variety of patient age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
The unit will have a staffing ratio of 1 RN to 1 ST during night shifts.
Daily case load includes a diverse mix of surgical procedures.
Interdisciplinary support will be available from multiple services.
Travelers should look into housing options in the area, as options may be limited.
Modules related to the position will be assigned and must be completed during the contract term.
