Charge RN - Main Operating Room
A leading nonprofit healthcare system is seeking an experienced Charge Registered Nurse to provide clinical leadership within a busy Main Operating Room. This full-time day shift position offers the opportunity to lead a collaborative perioperative team while delivering exceptional patient-centered surgical care.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and coordination of Main OR operations.
- Deliver direct nursing care to surgical patients using evidence-based practices.
- Support patient flow, staffing coordination, and efficient operating room scheduling.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and role model for nursing staff.
- Promote compliance with regulatory standards, patient safety initiatives, and organizational policies.
- Assist with problem-solving, workflow management, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Associate degree in Nursing or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of recent perioperative or operating room nursing experience.
- Previous Charge RN or nursing leadership experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
