Position Overview

Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Charge Registered Nurse (RN) – Main Operating Room to join Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa, California. This full-time day-shift leadership opportunity is designed for a perioperative nursing professional who combines strong clinical expertise with the ability to lead, support, and coordinate a high-performing surgical team.

As Charge RN, you will serve as both a clinical resource and frontline leader, helping coordinate daily nursing activities, support patient flow, and maintain high standards of safety and quality throughout surgical services. This position offers a competitive salary of $147,000 – $202,000 annually and provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced perioperative RN to take on greater leadership responsibility while remaining closely connected to patient care.

Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license upon hire.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership and support nursing teams.
  • Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least two (2) years of recent Perianesthesia RN experience
    .
  • Previous Charge RN, nursing leadership, supervisory, or team‑lead experience.
  • Experience with in perioperative, surgical, or acute‑care nursing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate clinical workflows and support nursing staff in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and other members of the surgical team.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced Registered Nurse who is ready to combine strong clinical skills with meaningful frontline leadership. They are confident making decisions, supporting colleagues, coordinating competing priorities, and helping maintain an organized and patient‑focused clinical environment.

Of particular importance is a candidate with demonstrated RN leadership experience and at least two years of recent Perianesthesia RN experience
. The successful candidate should be prepared to discuss their specific Perianesthesia background and demonstrate how their leadership experience has prepared them to guide and support a surgical nursing team.
