Job Summary:

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse position located in an outpatient setting. This role involves providing specialized post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia, with a focus on patient stabilization and monitoring. The position requires flexibility to accommodate variable start times and responsibilities in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment.

• Schedule:
  
  Shifts are typically 8 hours long, with start times varying between 0600 and 0830, depending on daily staffing needs. The minimum hours per week are 40.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of PACU experience, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience with End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, management of ports, airway assessment, and post-operative protocols.
• Float:
  Float rotation may be required between nearby facilities.
• Additional Information:
  The role involves caring for outpatient surgery patients across varied specialties including general, orthopedic, and urology. The position works Monday through Friday, with no weekends, holidays, or call required. Flexibility is essential due to variable start times and department needs. The contract duration is from 10/05/2026 to 01/04/2027. Candidates must be able to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays prior to employment.
