American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring CA RN licensure and at least 2 years of ICU experience.
Requirements- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS
- MAB Training required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
- Experience with cardiac drip titration and vasoactive drip titration
- Experience managing cardiac dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Experience with CVA/acute stroke management
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Uses Epic charting system
- Provide comprehensive nursing care across the full nursing process for ICU patients of varying ages, cultures, and conditions
- Demonstrate leadership on the unit and participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences
- Serve as a patient advocate and collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams on care planning
- Maximum RTO is 7 days per contract with only 1 holiday allowed off per contract
- Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
- 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment
