Travel RN - Pediatric PACU

American Traveler is seeking a RN for a Pre Op/PACU role requiring CA RN license and cardiac cath lab, IR, surgery, and endo experience.

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Acute hospital experience required
• Cardiac pre/post, cardiac cath lab, IR, surgery, and endo experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

• Provides pre/post care for Surgery, Endo, Cath Lab, IR, Radiology, and Infusion patients
• Cardiac-focused pre/post care in a busy multi-specialty procedural environment
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Variable day shifts Monday through Friday, starting between  and ending between
• Epic EMR experience required
• Perform pre-op assessments, education, and medication administration
• Manage post-op recovery including discharge instructions, medication reconciliation, and follow-up calls
• Care for patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, ortho/spine, GI, GU, gyn, plastics, and ENT procedures
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation and manage emergency medications
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Support patients through various anesthesia types including general, MAC, spinal, and nerve blocks
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, ports, and IV therapy
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
