American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 34-bed Emergency Department requiring an active CA license and 2+ years of ED experience.

• 34-bed Emergency Department serving patients of all ages and diagnoses
• Basic ED Level 3 semi/stroke receiving center with no trauma designation
• 4:1 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12 hours,
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirement

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications
• PALS or ENPC certification required
• MAB and NIHSS certifications preferred
• 2 years of ED experience required (hard requirement)
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year

• Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care including direct patient care and patient/family education
• Provides holistic, individualized care across a wide range of ED presentations including pediatrics, trauma, psychiatric, respiratory, and neurological cases
• Works within a STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and triage
• Experience with procedural sedation, IV therapy, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction patients
• Holiday coverage required for one assigned holiday per contract (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas)
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Returning staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
• First-time travelers not specified as accepted or excluded
