We are seeking a passionate and experienced Field Manager to join our team. The Field Manager will be our main equipment operator, so experience operating mid-scale farm equipment is a must. The ideal candidate will also have previous experience managing crop production and maintenance operations and leading a crew. We are looking for a highly organized individual with strong leadership and communication skills who can help the farm reach its production and sustainability goals.
This position will work closely with ownership, management and the existing crew to oversee production from seed up to harvest. The Field Manager will spend about ~30% of their time operating and maintaining equipment, ~60% of their time working with and directing the crew, and the remaining ~10% in the office keeping records and planning (there will be seasonal variation in how time is spent, and the quoted percentages are just an estimate).
We are more than willing to train the right applicant into this role over time. The exact role will be finalized with the chosen applicant based on their qualifications and personality. We are looking for an individual that is interested in committing to the farm long-term. We are expanding Longer Table Farm substantially in the coming year, shifting base of operations to Hopland in 2027 so there is the opportunity for this role to evolve with that growth.
