M.A. Silva USA – Account Manager (Napa – Sonoma Territories)

M.A. Silva USA is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join their highly motivated and fun sales team, headquartered in Santa Rosa. This role offers a great opportunity for a top performer to contribute to a successful and dynamic local business.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the position are many and varied. They include but are not limited to the following core responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new customer opportunities through research, networking, and outreach.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and negotiate contracts.
  • Manage assigned sales territory and maintain CRM and ERP records.
  • Communicate product and policy information clearly to clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the wine industry and local competition.
  • Attend trade events and team sales meetings.
  • Submit accurate reports and required client paperwork on time.
  • Travel frequently to meet clients, conduct product demos, and manage relationships (minimum 60% field time).
  • Track mileage for work‑related travel using the MOTUS app.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (1–2 years).
  • Established relationships with wine industry decision‑makers.
  • Self‑starter with a proactive mindset and commitment to excellence.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effectiveness as a presenter at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams or committees.
  • Solid problem‑solving and consultative sales skills.
  • Strong analytical and math skills (e.g., discounts, commissions, percentages).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, manage a flexible schedule, and use tools like MOTUS for mileage tracking.
