Position

Summary

Barbier Security Group is currently seeking a Part‑Time Security Officer for a prestigious winery in Sonoma County. Security Officers are primarily responsible for perimeter and access control and will require driving a company vehicle. Our Security Officers will ensure guests, the public and our clients feel secure and welcomed every day. For all our Security Officer positions, we are seeking candidates with exceptional presentation and customer service skills.

  • Shifts:

    Part Time Morning Shift (Saturday - Sunday)
  • Hourly rate: $23 per hour.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possess a current California Guard Card License.
  • A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required for applicable sites.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Proficient in basic computer and smartphone usage.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to create accurate reports; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong listening skills, patience, and compassion, particularly when interacting with community members experiencing emotional or psychological challenges.
  • Ability to remain calm in crisis situations, think critically, de‑escalate conflicts, and communicate effectively.
  • Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in adherence to all laws, regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with both company and client policies and procedures while being open to performance improvement.
  • Possess a clear understanding of emergency response procedures and protocols.
  • At least one year of experience in security, mobile patrol, or event staff roles.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand or walk for extended periods, including on uneven outdoor surfaces.
  • Climb stairs and navigate multi‑level buildings.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds to move equipment or assist with duties.
  • Withstand various weather conditions during outdoor patrols.
  • Handle and operate security equipment such as radios, keys, and locks.
  • Sprint short distances if needed to respond to emergencies.
  • Work long hours while remaining alert and focused throughout the shift.
  • Kneel, crouch, and bend to check low‑level areas, secure entrances, or assist in emergencies.
  • Strong vision and hearing to monitor surroundings, detect alarms, and observe distress.
