Job DescriptionAs a Club Repair Specialist at The Golf Mart, you will promote and maintain a store culture that reflects Worldwide Golf’s values, focusing on customer first and ensuring a memorable experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform all club performance modifications per customer needs.
- Provide product and service recommendations and construct or modify golf clubs as needed.
- Manage inventory by accurately recording shop consumption, usage, and waste.
- Operate shop equipment safely, complying with workplace safety programs.
- Maintain accuracy in all order forms and repair tags.
- Measure lie & loft angles, club height, weight & shaft flex, and adjust based on customer needs.
- Repair broken clubheads, change shafts and grips.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of golf club‑making and repair techniques, product features and benefits.
- After training, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
- Operate general phone systems and basic computer applications.
- Demonstrate knowledge of processing information and merchandise via computer and POS register system, and operate equipment necessary to run the store.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of word‑processing, spreadsheet, inventory, Internet and order processing systems.
- Freely access all areas of the store, standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching and kneeling and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds at any given time.
- Work varied hours/days as business dictates.
- Prior golf club repair experience is a plus, but entry‑level candidates are welcome to apply.
- Knowledge of golf equipment and shafts is preferred.
- Experience working in a shop environment and familiarity with basic power tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of retail operations is a plus.
Hourly rate: $16.90 – $18.00 per hour, dependent on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
