REACH Medical Holdings is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering and Maintenance team in the aviation industry. In this safety-first, supportive environment, you will perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft that support emergency air medical operations. Responsibilities include ensuring airworthiness, documenting all work in compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures, collaborating with flight and medical crews, and responding to AOG situations.
Prior aviation maintenance experience and strong attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on company helicopters and airplanes to ensure airworthiness and mission readiness
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, avionics, and structural issues using diagnostic tools, maintenance manuals, and technical data
- Conduct detailed pre-flight and post-flight inspections, documenting discrepancies and taking corrective action to maintain safety and regulatory compliance
- Interpret and apply FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company maintenance procedures in all work performed
- Accurately complete maintenance logs, work orders, parts usage records, and digital entries in the company's maintenance tracking systems
- Coordinate with pilots, flight nurses, operations, and dispatch teams to prioritize maintenance needs and minimize aircraft downtime for emergency medical missions
- Order, receive, and properly handle parts, tools, and materials, ensuring compliance with quality control and traceability requirements
- Perform functional checks, run-ups, and return-to-service verifications following maintenance and repair activities
- Participate in on-call and after-hours maintenance support as needed to sustain 24/7 emergency air medical operations
- Adhere to and promote a safety-first culture by following all safety policies, PPE requirements, and hazard reporting procedures
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, including reliability programs, maintenance procedure updates, and implementation of new technologies
- Mentor less-experienced technicians and contribute to a supportive, high-performance maintenance team environment
Required Skills
- Aircraft inspection, maintenance, and repair for rotor-wing and fixed-wing aircraft
- Troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, avionics, and structural systems
- Use of aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical data
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness requirements, particularly Part 135 or similar
- Turbine engine and rotor system maintenance skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and aircraft ground support equipment
- Ability to use computerized maintenance tracking and electronic documentation systems
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to maintenance quality standards
- Time management and prioritization in a 24/7 operational environment
- Effective communication and teamwork with pilots, medical crews, and operations staff
