Alarm Technician
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our team. This is NOT an entry-level position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems, ensuring that all components function correctly and meet safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of computer hardware, networking, and system design, as well as proficiency in using power tools and reading schematics.
The Alarm Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service to our clients.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain various security systems including alarms, cameras, and access control systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and connections.
- Utilize computer hardware and networking skills to integrate security systems with existing infrastructure.
- Provide field service support by responding to service calls and addressing client concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with clients to design customized security solutions that meet their specific needs.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in security technology.
Requirements
- Proven experience in alarm system installation or related field service roles.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and networking principles.
- Proficiency in using power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and documentation.
- Certification in relevant fields (e.g., electronic systems technician) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
