$62,244 to $68,652 with opportunities for 5% increases annually

North Bay Regional Center provides advocacy, services, support and care coordination to children and adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties.

North Bay Regional Center serves over 13,000 people living within the geographic boundaries of Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties. Under the general direction of the Self-Determination Supervisor, the Participant Choice Coordinator (PCC) is responsible for the expansion of Participant Directed services and the Self-Determination Program (SDP).

Under the general direction of the Self-Determination Supervisor, the Participant Choice Coordinator will be considered a subject matter expert and will act as a support system to all case management staff. This position provides training and education to internal staff and NBRC participants and families and assists individuals and families to access these services in a timely manner. This position will work closely with the Self-Determination Program Supervisor to identify and eliminate barriers to these choice-driven services and work collaboratively to ensure best practices are implemented within NBRC.

This position will also assist with the creation of the Self Determination budget and Spending Plan.

• Provide referrals to Self-Determination Orientation
• Work closely with Case Management to develop the Self-Determination Budget
• Review Spending Plan to assure alignment with applicable laws, regulations and directives
• Organize and maintain tracking system SDP referrals and enrollments
• Entering information into database
• Coordinate meetings for new participants and renewals to meet timelines
• Participate in outreach events
• Ongoing communication with Case Management, Fiscal, SDP participants, families, Independent Facilitators (IF) and Financial Management Services (FMS)

• Bachelor's degree and at least two years’ experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities; regional center experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• Minimum experience qualifications may be waived depending on the agency’s need for specialized skills (such as language abilities).
• Minimum education experience requirements will not be waived.

• Expertise regarding the Principals of Self-Determination and its history within the regional center system.
• Confident speaker able to communicate complex information to various populations.
