SUMMARY

Supervise warehouse personnel, the handling of finished goods, raw materials and packaging. Responsible for ensuring that accurate and timely inventory movement information be given to the inventory administrators. Supervise the receiving, storing, shipping and transferring of product and insure the timing and accuracy of distribution at all levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reports to and receives daily instructions from Warehouse Supervisor
  • Directs staff in the shipping, receiving, storing, and transfer of finished goods and raw materials.
  • Ensures complete compliance by personnel with all procedures, policies and rules in effect at Amy's Kitchen.
  • Ensures the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories
  • Develops proficiency in the use of bar coding equipment to assure proper inventory transactions
  • Ensures proper training of employees in safety, housekeeping and daily tasks
  • Reports to supervisor the following:
    • Employees who are not maintaining standards for line efficiency and quality.
    • Employees who are not adhering to company rules
    • Employees engaged in unsanitary or unsafe practices.
    • Equipment that is operating deficiently or unsafely
  • Works with the Warehouse Management in developing, business process, policies and procedures.
  • Informs Supervisor as necessary in order to maintain adequate supplies and inventory of materials needed for the ongoing operation of the warehouse (i.e., pallets, pallet pads and stretch‑wrap film).
  • During peak season or based on company needs overtime is required
  • Other duties as assigned

It is the responsibility of all employees to uphold the mission of the Amy's Food Safety and Quality Policy. This includes following all Food Safety and Sustainability programs and participating in all required training.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work of Team Leaders and other Warehouse personnel in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws.
  • Interviews prospective employees and makes recommendations with regard to their suitability for hire.
  • Accurately assesses subordinates work performances and, after consulting with supervisor and manager, completes employee annual evaluations, disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Conducts group meetings with regards to safety, company rules, general announcements, new procedures.

EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE
