Lot Technician

Overview

The Automotive Lot Technician is responsible for maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and overall appearance of dealership inventory and lot areas. This role supports the sales and service teams by ensuring vehicles are properly positioned, prepared, and ready for customer viewing and delivery.

• Organize and maintain vehicle inventory on the lot in a clean and orderly manner
• Move, park, and rearrange vehicles as needed for display, sales, and service operations
• Wash, vacuum, and perform basic detailing of vehicles
• Ensure all vehicles are properly tagged, priced, and locked
• Monitor lot for cleanliness, removing trash and debris regularly
• Assist with vehicle deliveries and transfers between locations
• Check in new inventory and inspect for damage
• Maintain fuel levels in vehicles as directed
• Support sales and service staff with various tasks as needed

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs occasionally
• Frequent entering and exiting of vehicles

Work Environment

• Outdoor dealership lot and indoor service areas
• Exposure to weather conditions including heat, cold, and precipitation
