We're a mechanical contractor in East County San Diego, built from scratch over 15 years into an $18-24M commercial and federal construction business, with a refrigeration service company we acquired and are growing. Two brands, one team.

Our purpose is simple: we solve complex challenges for our clients in ways others can't or won't. That takes people who care about getting it right.

We're looking for an organized, detail-driven accounting assistant to run our accounts payable and purchasing. It's a real job with real ownership - you'll be the person who keeps money moving correctly between us, our vendors, and our subcontractors.

• Accounts payable for both brands - enter and code invoices in Computer Ease, prepare payment runs, and keep the AP files clean and current.
• Purchase orders - issue vendor POs, enter them in Computer Ease, and reconcile the PO log at month end.
• Vendor management - set up new vendors, maintain the vendor list, and keep W-9s, terms, and contact information current.
• Subcontractor administration - track subcontractor invoices, change orders, insurance certificates, preliminary notices, and lien releases, and follow up until they're in hand.
• Credit cards - reconcile, code, and pay company credit card accounts.
• Office support and data entry - assemble job books, manage the accounting inbox, and keep the office running.

• 2+ years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience.
• Genuinely accurate data entry - this job rewards people who catch things.
• Comfort in Excel and an accounting system.
• Follow-through. A lot of this role is chasing paperwork until it shows up, without being reminded to.
• A friendly, professional way with vendors, subcontractors, and the field.

• Construction AP experience - lien releases, preliminary notices, subcontractor billings, retention.
• Computer Ease, Foundation, Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, or similar.
• Experience with W-9s and 1099 reporting.
• Purchase order and PO log experience.

• $28 - $33 per hour depending on experience
