Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and supervise pre‑construction and construction activities for assigned projects.
  • Schedule major construction tasks and manage services of subcontractors (including approval for payment).
  • Coordinate activities of internal lower level superintendents, crafts, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure continuity of job progress and maximize efficiencies; serve as primary point of contact with clients, peers, subcontractors, permitting jurisdictions, and utility providers.
  • Responsible for job safety, quality, schedule, and regulatory compliance required daily on construction site(s) or project offices.
  • Travel extended days when required by site location.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with major commercial and industrial developers.
  • Attend pre‑bid meetings/job walks and investigate project sites.
  • Review and understand all construction documents, plans, specifications, addendums, bid documents, and geotechnical reports.
  • Perform complete and accurate material take‑offs, request quotes from potential subcontractors and vendors.
  • Provide a complete estimate for labor, materials, and subcontractor cost.
  • Prepare budgets and job set‑up for field superintendents and accounting; track project and cost to budget.
  • Develop, prepare and maintain an accurate work schedule.
  • Manage all changes in SOW that require a change order or extra work authorization.
  • Validate all quantities, complete to date or percentages of completion to assist accounting with the preparation and submission of accurate monthly progress and final billings.
  • Manage inventory control, material management, and loss control process.
Qualifications
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of communication site development process, permitting processes, utility coordination, bill of material development, civil construction, quality assurance practices, and OSHA safety compliance practices.
  • Current valid driver’s license is required.
  • Experience in the development and construction of telecom/data infrastructure domestically or abroad is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both written and oral forms (bi‑lingual in Spanish is a plus).
  • Ability to work closely with customers, clients, vendors, and co‑workers.
  • Ability to manage and effectively lead a team and establish trusting relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to read, analyze and write business correspondence/proposals.
  • Possess the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other basic computer programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of approved practices, procedures, tools, and materials used in telecom line construction work.
