Henner Tank Lines, Inc., a leading contract carrier, is currently seeking local Class‑A drivers to join our team. As an employee‑owned and locally operated company, we value our drivers as integral members of our family, not just as numbers in an out‑of‑state operation.
PM shifts are open in our San Diego terminal. Full‑time employment is available on a Five‑on‑two‑off schedule, with some flexibility in schedule options for special circumstances on a first‑come, first‑served basis. We maintain year‑round steady work. San Diego terminal PM shifts are hourly and pay from $35/hr to $38/hr, plus overtime and a monthly safety performance bonus of $2/hr for every safe hour worked (overtime on bonuses is paid monthly).
We also pay double time on company‑observed holidays, and full weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) pay $1 more per hour on top of the regular pay. All trucks are late‑model Peterbils with Beall tanks.
- PM Shift (Sun to Thu) – start time 3 PM, starting wage $35 p/h plus $2 p/h safety bonus.
- PM Shift (Tue to Sat) – start time 3 PM, starting wage $35 p/h plus $2 p/h safety bonus.
Job Type: Full‑time. Salary: $35.00 to $38.00/hour. Additional safety bonus: $2.00/hour.
Requirements- Three years of verifiable Class‑A driving experience.
- A current tanker endorsement.
- A current hazmat endorsement.
- Doubles / Triples endorsement.
- A valid TWIC card.
- A current Medical Certificate.
- Pass a DOT Drug Test.
- Ability to conduct all operations safely.
- Requires frequent truck entry and exit.
- Must be able to work 12‑hour shifts.
- Must be able to lift and/or move 70 lbs regularly.
- Tanker drivers must also be physically able to load and unload the tanker.

- Safe product handling, product quality assurance, and product transportation consistent with regulatory compliance and company operating goals.
- Pick‑up and drop‑off of petroleum products.
- Maintain truck in good condition and follow all safe driving regulations.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any delays or issues during the route or shift.
- Perform a daily DOT pre‑trip and post‑trip inspection checklist, informing maintenance personnel of any issues.
- Maintain a daily, legible DOT E‑log.
- Keep the vehicle neat.
- Comply with all company safety and performance standards.
