Overview

Responsibilities

+ Supervise and support accounting staff, including assigning work, providing guidance, and monitoring performance.

+ Manage and perform monthly close processes, financial reporting, and related accounting procedures.

+ Ensure accounts payable obligations are processed accurately and paid in a timely manner.

+ Monitor accounts receivable activity and coordinate collection efforts to maintain healthy cash flow.

+ Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable payroll tax and reporting requirements.

+ Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for financial and ERP systems, ensuring accurate and reliable reporting.

+ Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP and company standards.

+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.

+ Perform and review bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.

+ Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting records.

+ Ensure appropriate controls are in place over accounting transactions and financial reporting processes.

+ Assist with the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial statements.

+ Analyze financial results, budgeting variances, and key performance indicators.

+ Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.

+ Support audits, compliance activities, and other accounting-related projects as needed.

+ Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

+ 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience required.

+ 3+ years of accounting leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

+ Experience managing monthly close and financial statement preparation.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP/accounting systems.

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

+ Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

+ Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and accountability.

+

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial analysis preferred.

+ CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification is a plus but not required.

+ Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls preferred.

+ Ability to work independently while effectively managing team responsibilities.
