Weamco is seeking a highly qualified Applications Engineer to join the team in Sapulpa, OK.
Salary:
Up to $110k
The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in the selection and implementation of natural gas and pipeline equipment, with a strong background in mechanical engineering and applications engineering. The role involves developing technical and commercial proposals, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring equipment meets customer requirements, with a focus on driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the application design and engineering of customer specific strainers and gas filters; liaison between sales, production, design group, and customers
- Support and assist sales in the quoting/bidding process; creating and submitting quotes per customer requests and preparing technical feedback for proposals as needed
- Support the order entry process by participating in kick-off meetings thru completion
- Perform calculations using Compress and/or other company design programs to rate and size equipment accordingly
- Read and interpret engineering data along with customer technical Terms and Conditions per industry codes and specifications
- Working knowledge of vessels, piping, and manual valves to ensure products conform to engineering design and customer specification
- Create and maintain supporting documentation required to fabricate products
Required Education/
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Design Application Sales
- Comprehensive knowledge of Design Codes: ASME Sec. VIII, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and B31.1
- Experience utilizing MRP systems: E2 Shop System/Shop Tech a plus
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills along with attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines as required, concurrently balancing multiple priorities
Preferred Experience:
- Familiar with oil and gas industries
- Experience with ASME Welding Procedure Specifications and Procedure Qualification Records
- Familiar with ITPs, AMLs and P&IDs
- Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor
- Experience with gas filtration
