Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. The Material Handler is responsible for managing inventory, moving materials throughout the facility, and operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient production flow and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Hours are M-F 5am-1:30pm/3:30pm depending on the company's needs.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
Load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials and products
Transport raw materials to production areas and move finished goods to storage or shipping
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
Perform routine inventory counts and cycle counts
Inspect incoming materials for damage and verify quantities against documentation
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of materials
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Assist with shipping and receiving as needed
Required:
Valid forklift certification preferredProven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment moving 40'+/15,000lb material
Basic knowledge of inventory control procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems
High school diploma or equivalent
Manufacturing/warehouse setting
Exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment
Requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and forklift operation throughout the shift
