CNC Machinist II (Job Shop / Precision Manufacturing) Pay: $20–$24/hour DOE
Schedule:
Full-Time | Multiple Schedule Options (OT Available) Job Type: Hourly | Non-Exempt
Location:
Tulsa, OK
- 3–5+ years CNC machining experience in job shop or manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes
- Ability to make minor CNC program edits
- Strong math skills (angles, feeds/speeds, fraction-to-decimal conversions)
- Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Ability to work in a production-driven environment with quality focus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment
- Maintain production within assigned work cell while meeting quality standards
- Support and mentor less experienced machinists
- Ensure efficient machining operations through proper setup and tooling
- Maintain consistent output in a fast-paced machine shop environment
– Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders)
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and manufacturing specs
- Perform minor edits to CNC programs as needed
- Calculate feeds, speeds, and machining parameters for optimal results
- Inspect parts using calipers, O.D./I.D. micrometers, and other precision tools
- Maintain tooling accuracy and verify inserts and setups
- Follow 5S and lean manufacturing practices
- Maintain productivity within assigned cell
- Train and mentor junior machinists
- Communicate with leads and team members regarding production and quality issues
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Job shop machining experience strongly preferred
- Experience with lean manufacturing environments a plus
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and quality standards
