Instrument Technicians troubleshoot equipment instrumentation, control systems (DCS/PLC/MLC) and ladder logic. Instrument Technicians receive very little descriptive information concerning the production problem and learn to calibrate, install and maintain a variety of instruments used to measure temperature, level, pressure, pH, conductivity and flow. They will install & maintain pneumatic systems; monitor specific equipment; and may monitor and replace control valves.

Instrument Technicians participate in safety meetings and training activities and follow established safety and operating procedures and practices.

• Troubleshoots, improves, repairs malfunctions, and documents failure analysis of Instrument equipment
  
  Sets up and calibrates, tests, measures, and repairs all types of electrical controls, instruments, and electronic variables
  
  Actively participates in the implementation of the Maintenance Work Process for I&E work Assists PPM Coordinator and ME role in defining appropriate electrical spare parts needed
  
  Updates and follows daily maintenance schedule
  
  Maintains accurate records including calibrations, electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDsSupports Root Cause Failure Analysis for I&E components

• High School Diploma or equivalent
  
  Journey level Instrumentation Technician with minimum 5 years of instrumentation work experience (industrial setting preferred)
  Able to demonstrate basic computer skills, math and problem-solving; mechanical, numerical and verbal aptitude to learn our jobs quickly
  
  Must be able to work call-ins and overtime when support is needed
  
  Able to pass a functional physical testing and able to use standard safety equipment; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  
  Able to climb ladders/stairs and work e to work in tight or closed-in spaces
  
  Pass a physical, drug screen and background check if job offer is received and accepted.
  
  Must possess a valid US Driver's License and be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
