Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. This role involves managing high-volume invoice processing for two companies while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. As a Contract to permanent position, this opportunity offers the chance to grow within a manufacturing-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process 150-200 invoices daily across two companies, handling both single-line and multi-line invoices with precision.

- Perform three-way matching for purchase order-based invoices and manage approvals for manual postings as required.

- Verify and upload employee expense reports using Concur, ensuring all receipts align with submitted expenses.

- Rotate weekly responsibility for check runs with another team member to ensure timely payments.

- Utilize multiple software systems, including Epicor, M2K, N4, and Excel, while adapting to company-specific workflows.

- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when coding invoices and reconciling accounts.

- Collaborate with the AP Supervisor to address any discrepancies or vendor-related issues.

- Uphold compliance with company policies and procedures during all accounts payable activities.

- Support operational efficiency by identifying areas for improvement in invoice processing.

- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment inquiries. Requirements - Proven experience managing high-volume accounts payable tasks in a detail-oriented setting.

- Familiarity with invoice coding, three-way matching, and expense reporting systems such as Concur.

- Basic to advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems like Epicor, M2K, or N4.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex invoices with multiple line items.

- Knowledge of payment methods, including ACH and check processing.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

- Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal departments.
