Compensation:

$75,000 - $80,000

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure quality standards are being met
  • Work to develop the business by taking on new projects and implementing changes as needed
  • Develop and implement systems to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain communication with all stakeholders within the business
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment
  • Oversee daily waste intake, handling, and shipment
  • Ensure waste is properly compacted and transferred to trailers or containers
  • Monitor equipment (compactors, loaders, scales) and schedule maintenance
  • Manage the traffic flow of incoming and outgoing trucks

Staff Supervision

  • Supervise operators, scale attendants, and laborers
  • Create schedules and assign duties
  • Train employees on safety procedures and equipment use

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA and environmental regulations
  • Maintain records for inspections and permits
  • Conduct safety meetings and incident investigations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of solid waste operations and environmental regulations
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment and facility operations
  • Basic computer and reporting skills
  • A combination of office work and outdoor, hands-on supervision
  • Exposure to noise, odors, weather, and heavy machinery
