Overview:
St. Mary Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher for K-8. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Plan and deliver educational instruction using the most efficient and effective methodology for the students assigned when the regular teacher is unavailable.
• Provide corrective feedback to students and re-teach as necessary, to ensure students have mastered the objectives.
• Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents/guardians and other educators to assist the students.
• Implement approved-course curriculum.
• Implement modifications in a student's education plan as required.
• Complete written reports and assigned administrative tasks related to these functions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Principal.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Florida State Certification (or approved application for Certification).
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work independently and in groups.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Knowledge of theory and practice of student learning styles.
• Ability to remain calm and pleasant under stressful circumstances.
• Ability to communicate cooperatively and effectively with staff, students and parents.
• Strong computer skills.
