As a key member of our Florida team, you will be involved in a variety of exciting and challenging projects including stormwater/watershed planning and civil design work, site testing, site investigation and field work, plans and permit review, hydraulic and hydrologic model development and review, stormwater project management, and reporting on climate change and sea level rise. You will work under the guidance of Senior Project Managers and Senior Engineers, provide mentorship to those junior to you, and work alongside peers to help you grow your career.

Position Summary
Our Tampa/Sarasota, FL office is looking for someone to help support ongoing watershed management planning projects and stormwater design projects with many of the local Clients, who are looking to address growing flood and climate related risk. The candidate will support the senior engineers and senior designers in planning and design projects associated with watershed planning and drainage improvement projects.
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Agricultural, Biological, or Civil Engineering, other hydro science or related field is required
* A minimum of 5 years of consulting experience related to water resource projects, and environmental or civil engineering
* Professional Engineer (PE), Florida (preferred), or ability to obtain within 1 year
* Experience with Hydrologic & Hydraulic (H&H) Analysis and Modeling and Stormwater System Design
* Knowledge and advanced use of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Word, and Power Point
* Experience using ArcGIS and Arc Hydro tools for H&H modeling applications
* Experience with H&H modeling software ICPR4, EPA SWMM, HEC-RAS
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD recommended
* Knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint is required
* Strong technical writing skills
* Strong communication and facilitation skills
* Be self-driven, motivated and able to perform duties independently with minimal guidance
* Experience in developing and maintaining strong client relationships
* Experience with interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams
Ideally, here's what you'll also have
* Experience with watershed management plans (WMP) through all phases
* Experience in Southwest Florida Water Management District Watershed Management Plan projects (including GWIS database framework and development)
* Experience in the various water management District's ERP processes
