* - The individual(s) will be responsible for technical assignments to support production, design, test and other engineering activities. Supporting the production line, Testing equipment(setup, support and improvement) for MRO(Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) product; encompassing aircraft power generation and power distribution components.

Job Location:

Sarasota, FL.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Advise, direct, and train MRO personnel in repair and test techniques/methods on behalf of the repair station per Title 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 121 and 145.

- Review maintenance manuals and related documents to establish repair capabilities per the applicable product standard, FAA or EASA regulation and the established technical evaluation procedures.

- Assist and Develop procedures for repair and testing. Documentation to be used by Operations personnel.

- Work closely with Operations and Quality to ensure repair and testing processes are performed in accordance with Safran Quality documents and return to service criteria.

- Assist and Design, modify, and prototype tooling required for use in the maintenance and repair of aircraft electromechanical and hydraulic products.

- Specify, develop and modification of test equipment for use on various aircraft components.

- Continuously improve production efficiency and quality to meet key metrics.

- Assist in creating major repairs with DER and PMA submittals.

- Communicate technical data issues to the design authority and ensure updates are completed.

- Work seamlessly with offsite engineering team for support and approval when necessary.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Mentor interns.

- Regular, predictable attendance is required.

- Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.

Stationary 70% / Mobility 30% (including lifting 10%)

Work environment:

Split between office work and working on the shop floor and in the Testing Laboratory with production and testing technicians. Must be available for business travel as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:
