Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs thermoforming equipment in a manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all production machinery and supporting systems.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair thermoforming equipment used in a manufacturing setting to minimize downtime and maintain consistent production quality.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical components such as hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes, motors, pumps, and conveyors.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on production equipment and related systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Use programmable logic controller (PLC) systems to make edits and adjustments as needed to support equipment operation, without developing new programs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to reduce unplanned breakdowns and extend asset life.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and adjustments to ensure accurate records and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work orders and support smooth manufacturing operations.
- Follow safety procedures and best practices while working on mechanical and electrical equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
- Proven experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing thermoforming equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics, including inspection, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong mechanical skills with gear boxes, motors, pumps, conveyors, and related components.
- PLC experience with the ability to make edits and adjustments to existing programs; no programming from scratch required.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills related to production equipment and industrial systems.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive conditions.
- Commitment to safety practices and adherence to established procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with thermoforming processes and related machinery.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, work orders, and priorities.
- Willingness to perform both preventive and reactive maintenance tasks as needed.

WorkEnvironment
The role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility with approximately 50 employees, providing a comfortable and stable work setting throughout the year. You will work around thermoforming equipment and related mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes, motors, pumps, and conveyors. The environment emphasizes safety and organized workflows, with close collaboration among production and maintenance teams. Standard industrial attire and appropriate personal protective equipment are used while working on or around machinery.

This is a Permanent position based out of Sarasota, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $68000.00 - $77000.00/yr.
