Senior Machine Builder / Technician III
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technician III to lead the assembly, debugging, and commissioning of custom automation and packaging machinery. This senior-level role is responsible for building complex machines from start to finish, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and serving as a technical expert on the manufacturing floor.
The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience in both mechanical and electrical assembly, strong problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with industrial controls. This role also plays a key part in improving processes, supporting design reviews, and mentoring junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently assemble and build complex machinery, including mechanical structures and electrical systems
- Diagnose and resolve issues across mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Lead debugging efforts and collaborate with engineering teams
- Perform basic fabrication tasks such as machining, welding, and cutting
- Contribute to process improvements and assembly standards
- Mentor and support junior technicians
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in machine building or automation environments (typically 10+ years or equivalent)
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques and industrial tools
- Familiarity with PLC systems, motion control, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
