Shift: First, Monday-Thursday (6am-4:30pm)

Job Description

The Lead Technician executes and monitors daily and weekly production activities, ensuring material availability, accurate system transactions, and continuous product flow on the manufacturing floor. This role combines hands-on product assembly with coordination across supply chain, planning, and warehouse teams to support on-time delivery and continuous improvement in a clean, climate-controlled aviation production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor daily and weekly production activities in alignment with the master production schedule (MPS).
  • Escalate production risks promptly and support the development and execution of recovery plans.
  • Ensure material availability by coordinating closely with Supply Chain, Planning, and Warehouse teams.
  • Manage work-in-progress (WIP) and material movements to maintain accurate inventory and production status.
  • Perform ERP/MRP transactions accurately to reflect real-time production and material data.
  • Monitor production flow on the shop floor, identify bottlenecks, and help maintain continuous movement of work.
  • Track delivery commitments and actively support achieving customer on-time delivery targets.
  • Participate in Tier and QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) meetings to communicate production status, risks, and issues.
  • Identify root causes of production delays and contribute to corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Spend approximately 50% of working time directly on the production floor, performing hands-on product manufacturing and assembly tasks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall production goals.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to execute and monitor production activities against a master production schedule (MPS).
  • Experience managing work-in-progress (WIP) and material movements in a production setting.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for accurate production and inventory transactions.
  • Strong coordination skills to work effectively with Supply Chain, Planning, and Warehouse teams.
  • Ability to identify production bottlenecks and support continuous workflow on the shop floor.
  • Capability to participate in structured meetings such as Tier and QRQC to report status and risks.
  • Hands-on mechanical or assembly skills suitable for direct involvement in product manufacturing.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both physical work and system transactions.
  • Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes of delays, and support corrective actions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in production within the aviation or aerospace industry is highly beneficial.
  • Experience working in a climate-controlled, clean manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement practices and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Comfort working in a fast-growing company where processes and systems may evolve.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly convey status, risks, and issues to cross-functional teams.
