Travel RN - Home Health

American Traveler is hiring a skilled RN for a Home Health position requiring OASIS expertise, IV and wound care, and a FL or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in a home health setting providing skilled visits to patients in Sarasota and Charlotte County,

• Home health caseload includes patients with cardiopulmonary conditions, high-risk diagnoses, post-op care, and general medical needs,

• Typical daily caseload is 6-8 skilled home visits,

• Visits are self-scheduled based on Home Care office needs,

• Day shifts available with varying start times, including 8a-5p and 9a-6p, as well as alternating weekend schedules,

• Required to work some weekends on an alternating basis,

• Portable technology provided, including laptops, MiFi, and portable printers,

• Documentation systems include Bay Care Forms, Bay Care Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet,

Job Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required,

• Minimum 1 year of skilled home health nursing experience required,

• OASIS training and experience required,

• Current BCLS certification required,

• Strong IV skills and wound care experience required,

• Experience with cardiopulmonary assessment, basic wound care, ABI compression dressing, wound vac dressing, Pleurx or Asept drain care, foley catheter care, staple/suture removal, glucometer use, pro-time machines, SQ/IM injections, lab draws, PICC line or Midline care, SQ port access,

• Valid driver's license and reliable car required for home visits,

• Must be COVID vaccinated or have approved exemption on file,

• Annual flu shot required or declination with mandatory mask use while at work,

• Responsibilities include skilled visits, wound and IV care, cardiopulmonary assessments, and a wide range of home health interventions,

• Must be able to work independently and self-schedule visits in coordination with the Home Care office,

• Flexible shifts are offered, and candidate may select from several day shift and weekend rotation options,

• Any solid color scrubs are permitted,
