Travel RN - Home Health

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position in Sarasota/Charlotte County, FL, requiring OASIS training and skilled home care experience.

Job Details

• Skilled home health setting serving Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients,

• Patient care includes cardiopulmonary assessments, basic wound care, ABI compression dressings, wound vac dressings, Pleurx/Asept drain care, Foley catheter care and changes, staple/suture removal, glucometer use, pro-time machine use, SQ/IM injections, lab draw venipuncture, IV care, and PICC line/Midline care and dressing changes,

• Caseload of 6-8 home visits per day,

• Shift hours vary based on office needs:
Mon-Fri 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm, with possible Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues schedules,

• Alternating weekend shifts required,

• Visits are self-scheduled based on Home Care office needs,

• Charting and documentation uses Bay Care Forms, Bay Care Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet systems,

• Equipment provided includes a laptop, MiFi for internet access, and a portable printer,

Job Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Minimum 1 year of skilled home care experience required; private duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted,

• OASIS training and hands-on experience required,

• Proficiency in IV therapy and wound care required,

• Experience with high-risk diagnoses including heart failure (HF), COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke,

• Experience with post-operative care and general medical diagnoses,

• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required to conduct home visits,

• COVID vaccination or approved exemption form required,

• Flu shot or signed declination required; mandatory mask wearing at all times while on the job if declining,

• Conduct skilled home visits across the Sarasota and Charlotte County service area,

• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,

• State Board of Nursing license verification and NURSYS verification required for consideration,

• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable as the dress code
