Experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant

Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP | FNP) or Physician Assistant in our Sarasota market. We are seeking a well-trained, compassionate, enthusiastic provider looking to provide exceptional care in our employed practice. We are located in the highly desirable area of Sarasota, FL, which is on the West Coast of Florida and close to some of the most beautiful beaches in the country
- Siesta Key, Lido Key and Longboat Key. The community is known for its excellent public and private schools and a vast array of activities for all ages to enjoy.

Group is made up of six physicians and a nurse practitioner, all experienced and dedicated to providing outpatient only service. Average of 16 patients/day. Monday
- Friday, 8AM - 5PM. Acute/sick, wellness, and physician overflow visits. No after-hours evening or weekend call.

Graduate from accredited APRN or PA program. Certification in professional specialty. Licensed or eligible for licensure in Florida. BLS.

Require advanced degree from an accredited school or college of nursing. Must have had a Medicare number in the State of Florida prior to 1/1/03; if not, must have a Master's Degree in nursing in addition to being a Registered Professional Nurse who is authorized by Florida to practice in accordance with state law. Require approved APRN board certification. Must be certified as a APRN by a recognized national certifying body having established standards for APRN's.

Prefer demonstrated clinical competency skills. Prefer knowledge of state, federal and local health care agencies and programs. Prefer effective leadership and strong interpersonal skills. Prefer ability to work independently and collaboratively. Prefer demonstrated written & verbal communication & strong analytical skills. Prefer effective interaction skills to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting. Prefer demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology as it relates to health care practice and current prescription writing skills/DEA licensing.

Prefer demonstrated skills in documentation in medical records to substantiate accurate billing. Prefer ability to work independently and effectively with physicians and other allied health personnel in the hospital and/or office setting. Prefer knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, statutes and regulations.
