- Assists store customers in selecting and purchasing items.
- Operates and maintains a cash register; collects monies, counts change, and prepares receipts; balances the cash register drawer and prints routine register print-outs; prepares and delivers bank deposits.
- Responds to customer questions and assists customers who are donating items.
- Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of merchandise and displays.
- Maintains the neatness and security of the cash register area; secures merchandise and the cash register.
- Clears display racks and shelves; sweeps and mops floors; cleans windows, mirrors; and helps maintain overall cleanliness of the store.
- Answers the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner.
- High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Experience working in a retail store preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
