Lift Station Technician
Sarasota County Government is looking for a Lift Station Technician. This position offers a salary range of $22.14 to $24.42 hourly and is located at 1001 Sarasota Center Boulevard, 34240, Sarasota, FL. The job is full-time within the Public Utilities department with a continuous closing date.
This role involves working with electrical and pump systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The position offers a two-year training program for trainees, followed by progression to Skilled Trades Worker II and III roles.
Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with on-call requirements.
Trainees start at $18.09/hour and require a high school diploma, ability to obtain a Class "A" CDL with air brake endorsement within six months, and a valid Florida Driver's License.
Skilled Trades Worker II starts at $22.14 (Step
1) with three years of experience in applicable trades, ability to obtain a Class "A" CDL with air brake endorsement within six months, and a valid Florida Driver's License.
Skilled Trades Worker III starts at $24.42 (Step
1) with six years of experience in applicable trades, ability to obtain a Class "A" CDL with air brake endorsement within six months, and a valid Florida Driver's License.
Physical demands include occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening.
