Electrician

An electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems, wiring, and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes

Electricians install new electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment. They regularly inspect, maintain, and repair existing electrical systems to ensure they are functioning safely and efficiently. Electricians diagnose and resolve electrical problems, using testing devices and their knowledge of electrical theory. Electricians interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs accurately. Electricians follow state and local building regulations, including the National Electrical Code, to ensure safe electrical installations.

They use a variety of hand tools (like pliers, wire strippers, and screwdrivers) and power tools (like drills and saws) to complete their work. They test and inspect electrical work to ensure safe installation and compliance with regulatory codes. Other duties as assigned
