Public Utilities Field Crew Leader
Do you have experience managing a team and skills in the maintenance and construction field? As a Public Utilities Field Crew Leader, you coordinate the utility work for operations, maintenance, and installation of the potable and reclaimed water distribution.
Job Description:
- Coordinate and oversee the daily work activities of three (3) or more staff.
- Perform complete underground utility inspection and discovery, maintenance, repair, installation, and construction of the potable and reclaimed water distribution, wastewater.
- Perform right-of-way MOT and all restorations relating to complete utility maintenance and repairs.
- Operate specialized equipment, such as vacuum trucks, sewer-flushing devices, rodding equipment, jetting equipment, excavators, backhoes, end loaders, trenchers, and other related equipment.
Work Hours:
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- * On-Call Required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Three (3) year of experience in operations, maintenance, and construction.
- A valid Florida Driver's License at the time of hire.
- Must acquire Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker "N" endorsement within six (6) months.
Physical Demands:
Must frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening:
This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
Starting Pay: $22.62 (Step
1)
Potential higher pay (steps) for those with multiple years of experience.
