Utility Crew Leader
Sarasota County Government is seeking a Utility Crew Leader for the Public Utilities department. This position involves coordinating and overseeing the daily work activities of a crew in utility operations, maintenance, repair, installation, and construction of potable and reclaimed water distribution, wastewater, gravity, vacuum, and pressurized sewer collection systems.
The job description includes utility operations, equipment operation, and general duties such as responding to customer complaints, completing service requests, and maintaining equipment and vehicles. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Florida driver's license, and the ability to obtain a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker "N" endorsement within six months of hire.
The salary for this position is $17.78 per hour. The job is full-time with work hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with on-call requirements.
